Sports Injuries

Sports Injuries In an ideal world it’s best to avoid sports injuries in the first place by ensuring your body is as healthy as it can be. However, sometimes subtle changes occur within our muscles and joints that we can not readily feel; these are the areas that can then become painful if they are over stressed.  With the best will and care in the world these areas of dysfunction can develop within even the fittest individuals participating in dynamic or repetitive sports.  Typically the damage is a tendon/ligament sprain, muscular strain, capsular tear or a combination of tissues involved.  It is most important when dealing with an active body to have the problem assessed, corrected and rehabilitated quickly.

Through detailed assessment and monitoring of injury prone areas there are many physical therapies we can offer to get people back to what they love doing: whether it’s an afternoon gardening or the London Marathon.
